From point A to point B, often with value added service in between. Vehicles and their drivers/ Driver-guides is our pride; moving passengers our passion !

Fleet: 3x late model 7- seater VW 'Kombi' & Caravelle, 1x 15 seater Mercedes Sprinter coach, 1x 4-8 seater late model Land Rover Defender.
Location: Head Office/ Central Reservations in Midrand (Johannesburg area), with depots in Pretoria & greater Durban. We network to be able to cover Cape Town.
Credentials: Member of SATSA.
Areas of Expertise: The Lore of Passenger Transport, Knowledge of Southern Africa, Passenger needs identification & stisfaction, Vehicle support networks, 'Streetwise'.
Principals & Ethics: We become an arm of the client's service; not solicit any clients.
Law: Permits, passenger Liability Insurance and driver qualification requirements according to legal and Industry requirements.
Target Market: Tour/ Event/ Conference/ Team Building Operators, other Transport operators, Group getaways, Functions, Chauffeur service operators, Adventure Operators.

2) Who: Proud South Africans, by Birth and by Nature
A professional team, humble by nature but arrogant and progressive by service ! A team, with both black and white members, that stems from a variety of backgrounds, aiming for ONE outcome: To be the Leaders in our field, in both Expertise and Service.

The Team: In collaboration with our Black Empowerment and HDI initiative Service Providers, ‘SKY’, Operations and Marketing are handled by Gerhard de Jager (MD) and Steven Pitchers (Manager: Durban).

Areas of Expertise: A BA(Phys Ed) graduate and national Guide, Gerhard has a reputable 16 years in the Travel and Passenger Transport industry, having treaded his first careful steps as Luxury coach driver. In the last 14 years, he has built CHOICE TOURS Passenger into a proud, ambitious concern, never losing touch with the road and refusing to give up the precious opportunities to lead a tour. Steven, the adventurous youngster, is the gentleman with the ethics, charm, enthusiasm, free spirit and deceptively innocent demeanor.

Principals: Upon hiring them, our drivers and driver- guides are drilled in Good judgment principals, to be discreet, driver to guide to passenger relationships, looking after passenger needs and to be professional at all times.

3) Where: Countrywide
With Depots and Fleets in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Durban, CHOICE TOURS Passenger elaborately covers most of the major business centres in South Africa. Considering the specialist nature of the industry, we have decided not to establish a depot in Cape Town and have, instead, taken the professional approach of partnership agreements with companies of the same strive and quality control as ours.

Areas/ Locations: Depots in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Greater Durban.
Trends traditionally, we serve predominantly Tour & Transport Operators in Gauteng, while Durban looks after hotel, conference and adventure movements.

4) When: Since 1994
CHOICE TOURS Passenger has a proud record of 12 successful years, having had the nerve, drive and optimism to commence business only a month before the election of the great Nelson Mandela, iconic first President of the New South African Democracy in 1994. CHOICE TOURS Passenger has since gone from strength to strength.

History: 12 years, starting with 2 Combis, progressively growing into a fleet of 3x 7 seater Combis, 3x 15 seater Sprinters and 2x Mercedes Sedans. During times of negatively influencing factors, such as the current strong Rand, we reduce fleet, currently running 3 Combis, 1 Sprinter and a 6 seater Land Rover Defender.
Safety record: Without a single accident/ incident in the 12 years of operation.

5) Why: We can't wait to hit the Road !
Our Drivers and Driver- guides (these guys and gals are personalities; please call them by name !) itch, upon as little as mention, Wheels rolling across city and countryside, touring, telling, helping, uphill, downhill, taking anything from 3 to 44 seaters gently through hills, valleys, plains and...traffic. We're walking, talking junkies of South and Southern African routes, landmarks and roads !

6) How: Safe, legal, clean Vehicles & drivers
Our Luxury fleets, consisting of late model 7 and 15 seaters, supported by contracted in 3, 22, 25, 32, 44, 50 and 60 seater Luxury & Semi- luxury sedans and coaches, from the likes of MegaCoach and Hylton Ross, comply with the most stringent Safety standards, Legal formalities and Insurances and Sparkle of clean when leaving our depots. Drivers and Driver- guides are selected with utmost care, considering driving safety, experience, sound judgment, professionalism and passenger care.

Fleet: 3x 7 seater VW Microbuses (2 of them T4 and T5), 1x 15 seater Mercedes Sprinter and a 6 seater Land Rover Defender, for guests who look for the Style - Adventure combo. We combine fleets with contracting companies extensively, in order to supply the demands our clients have.
Safety: Belts on 80 % of all our seats, religious service intervals, yearly Certificates of Fitness, Driver scrutiny and training.

Obstacles: Legislation regarding the use of Driver- guides on vehicles carrying more than 10 passengers, strong rand forcing decline in group numbers, the internet facilitating self drive.
